You might feel overwhelmed at the many great restaurants in the La Crosse, Wisconsin, area, but you can whittle down the list if you think about what kind of food you feel like eating. If you’re in the mood for a tasty burger, make sure you check out one of these La Crosse spots:

1. The Crow

The Crow is a local favorite for many reasons, including its welcoming atmosphere and mouthwatering burgers. This gastropub has over a dozen types of burgers, including The Crow. This burger features two quarter-pound Angus patties, topped with pecan wood bacon, havarti cheese, fried onion, and garlic mayo, all served on a pretzel bun. The Sriracha bourbon pork burger is another top choice that comes topped with the restaurant’s famous Sriracha bourbon sauce. The Crow also has vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes.

2. River Rats Bar and Grill

The first thing that you will enjoy about River Rats Bar and Grill is its location. It sits right on the French Slough on French Island. You also won’t be able to get enough of the burgers. Each burger on the menu is made with a fresh, never-frozen burger patty and topped with a house-blend sauce.

Try the Reel Burger, which allows you to add your own seasoning and toppings. If you want something unique, locals often rave about Captain Jack’s Burger.  It’s topped with pepper jack cheese, bacon, barbecue, and the restaurant’s homemade secret sauce. Make sure you check out the daily specials, which offer discounts on a variety of menu items.
