The 2020 Nissan Versa is a small sedan that offers a stylish design, a capable and fuel-efficient engine, and impressive standard safety equipment. What’s more, this sedan is also very affordable. You can choose from three trims with the Versa, namely, the S, SV, and SR. Here’s some more information on this modern sedan.
New Design
The 2020 Versa boasts a newly designed exterior that’s lower, wider, and longer than that of its predecessor. In addition, the new Versa also displays elements borrowed from Nissan’s “Emotional Geometry” design language, such as a V-motion grille, boomerang-shaped lights, and a floating roof. You can choose from a range of trendy colors with this sedan, including Electric Blue Metallic, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, and Monarch Orange Metallic.
The base trim is reasonably well equipped with features such as 15-inch steel wheels, automatic on/off headlights, and power-adjustable mirrors. With the two higher trims come a few convenient upgrades, such as 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED taillights, fog lights, heated mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators, and a rear spoiler.
Fuel-Efficient Ride
All Versa trims are powered by a capable 1.6-liter engine that provides a respectable 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. You can either pair this engine with a five-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive is standard. This engine will provide you with an excellent fuel-efficiency rating of 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.
Comfortable Cabin
The interior of the Versa also receives an upgrade, featuring soft-touch surfaces on the doors and dash and added standard equipment. Comfortable seating for up to five passengers is provided, and behind the rear seats is a decent cargo area of 14.7 cubic feet with the base trim and 15 cubic feet with the two higher trims. You can also extend the cargo area to accommodate larger items by opting for the available 60/40-split folding rear seat.
The base trim of the new Versa comes with more standard gear than the previous model year offered, including power windows and locks, keyless entry, push-button start, cruise control, air conditioning, and cloth upholstery. For added luxuries such as automatic temperature control, remote start, upgraded cloth upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, opt for one of the higher trims.
Modern Technology
The Versa boasts lots of modern technology and safety features. The standard infotainment system is easy to use and offers such features as a 7-inch display, Bluetooth, voice recognition, four speakers, and three USB ports. You can also upgrade with convenient features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, SiriusXM, and a premium sound system.
The base trim comes standard with advanced safety and driver-assist systems that include automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, a rearview camera, hill-start assist, and rear automatic braking. You can also opt for available systems such as blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and intelligent driver alertness.
