What is an Engine Tune-Up?
An engine-tune up is an incredibly important part of preventative maintenance on your vehicle and can save you a lot of money on costly repairs. Typically, during a tune-up, our technicians will inspect your engine and analyze its performance. Additionally, they will replace your vehicle’s spark plugs, fuel filter, and cabin air filter.
The frequency at which you should get a tune-up can vary based on how old your vehicle is. Older vehicles with non-electric ignition systems should get a tune-up between every 10,000 and 20,000 miles. Vehicles that are newer with more modern ignition systems can go as far as 30,000 to 100,000 miles between tune-up services. We recommend taking a look at your vehicle’s owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommendations on service intervals, or just ask one of our technicians.
